The highway in Three Gorges reservoir area often requires across V-gullies, ground slope is generally steep, and often affected by rainfall and water level of the reservoir area, seriously affecting the safe use of high fill embankment at the center of the gully. Therefore, to make research of the V-gullies high embankment under the water factor are of great significance for construction and maintenance of the V-gullies high embankment.This article study on V-gullies high embankment slope located at Fengjie East Interchange,establishes saturated-unsaturated seepage and stress coupling finite difference model of a V-shaped gully of ultra-high embankment under the condition of the rainfall and water level fluctuations;get a stability changing law of V-shaped gully ultra-high embankment slope under the condition of different intensity and rainfall duration, and displacement, stress of the toe retaining wall under different water level, and its stability and so on.Meanwhile,made recommendations related to the reinforcement for the above proposed results.The research will provide a reference for design of V-gullies high embankment, and a reference for the construction of V-gullies other similar ultra-high embankment in the reservoir area.This paper was supported by Committee of Chongqing Communications Project Foundation—study on stability of Badong formation marlite filling material of high embankment and the form of retaining structures acted by multiple loads (Grant No. 2007CQJTK023).
