The main features of the SW airport are: high embankment, intensive earthquake, complicated geological conditions, soft soil distribution and the short construction period. The crucial and also the chief challenge of the airport construction in this region is how to maintain the stability of the embankment. The general magnitude of earthquake in this area (JH airport) is around magnitude 8.1. And the altitude is 3442m; the maximum height of the embankment is 104m. The total quantity of the excavated and filled earth-rock material is above 58,000,000 m~3. The thickness of the weak soil under the embankment is above 10 m. However, the main factors, which induce the landslide, are: the rainfall penetration and the earthquake. It is very important to find the rule of landslide under the rainfall and earthquake. And furthermore, a quantitative analysis model for landslide precaution will be signality.Numerical models are introduced in this paper to study how the infiltration into the high embankment slope of Jiuzhai-huanglong airport with the rainfall intensity ,rain fall duration and how the infiltration influences the stability of the slope.A numerical and finite difference methods based on the saturated-unsaturated soil seepage theory.Through the studying on slope stability induced by earthquake and qualitaivly analyzing the relation between the slope stability and seismic force.Base on the finite element theory, modifying the influence mechanism of earthquake to the high embankment slope of JH airport and the rule of the slope stability. The author built the dynamic analysis model of the slope to calculate and studied the stability coefficient and the timely relation chart. The works shown in this paper can provide the reference and theory support for the actual project.
