The task of motor performance testing is to test the various data of the motor during operation, such as voltage, current, power, etc., and then process the measured data to calculate and obtain the various properties of the motor. Next, the motor nameplate parameters are handled, to determine whether the measured motor run normally. In this test system, No-load and short circuit test are needed. Load test requires output 5 files of voltage under computer controlling, then records collected voltage value and current value to take the average. While the no-load test requires output 2 files of voltage under computer controlling, and then calculate the voltage, current and power of the RMS. In both trials, the voltage regulator circuit is controlled automatically through the regulation. The data collected from the sensors are sent to TMS320LF2407 DSP processing, the data after DSP treatment are sent to the host computer, using VB software for data processing. Circle diagram method is used to calculate the motor performance parameters, for example copper consumption, iron consumption, power factor, efficiency and so on, then output them through the printing system.The test system was easier to use, because it uses the computer to replace the original manual operation, which need to use general instrument to test the motor gradually, but this design use the computer to replace the tedious manual operation, reducing the labor intensity and increase the measurement accuracy and labor efficiency. This test system is composed of test power supply cabinet and the computer console. Computer control panel composes computers, printers and resistors test equipment, and testing power-supply cabinet has pilot power transformers, sensors, DSP and other devices. Computer console and test power supply cabinet equipped with a dedicated cable connection between them. Therefore, users install them easily.
