Research For The Steel Fiber Cement Concrete Mix Design Applied Into Sliding Pavement Engineering

By mixing a certain amount of steel fiber, these characteristcs will be improved and enhanced, as peovide a new developing space for cement concrete pavement application. This paper has made the following findings:1) From the achivements of research on steel fiber applying in reinforced concrete pavement, it concluded that the steel fiber reinforced concrete pavement had the following advantages in comparison with the ordinary concrete road surface. The strength and weight ratio increases.2) Tensile strength, shear strength and bending strength controlled by the major principal tensile stress, improve significantly. Deformation performance increased. The cracking and fatigue resistance improve greatly; that measures were proposed to improve the mechanical properties of steel fiber reinforced concrete, such as to increase the bond length of fibers, to improve bonding properties of steel fiber and matrix, to change the shape of fiber, to increase the friction and bite force between fibers and the matrix.3) Mix design was carried out for steel fiber reinforced concrete pavement by construction technology of sliding model. Specific requirements were put forward for concrete pavement materials.4) Based on the data analysis of test road construction, comparing with the ordinary concrete pavement construction process, special requirements and technology were determined for steel fiber reinforced concrete pavement.Steel fiber reinforced concrete pavement has effective and technical advantages. It also has a solid foundation for large-scale implementation. Being a good complement for concrete pavement and one of the best developing model, steel fiber concrete could well expand for promoting and enhancing the scope applications of concrete pavement.
