In modern bridge engineering, the cable-stayed bridge with excellent structural function, spanning capacity, graceful style and less construction restrictions, which are suitable to build in the sites with wider and deeper river, poor geological conditions, small construction face and high bridge navigation conditions, has become one of the most competitive bridges in the long-span Bridges.As well as all other engineering, the risks of the cable-stayed bridge existing in the design, construction and operation period must cause the bridge builder's enough attention, otherwise , once an accident happens , it often can cause huge economic damage and casualties and serious adverse social influence. In order to avoid engineering accidents and reduce the risk of each period, it is necessary to analyze the risk of the cable-stayed bridge and put forward corresponding measures.Basing on the practical needs of cable-stayed bridge engineering construction,first, the paper has a systematic and comprehensive study on the risk of cable-stayed bridge structure analysis theory, methods and countermeasures. Second,The risk sources that easily damage the bridges, and cause serious safety accidents and huge society influence are listed after risk identification by studying on the following four aspects: construction conditions, structure scheme, construction plan and operation management. After a comprehensive evaluation of the risk existing in the periods of construction and operation, the paper establishes a risk evaluation system by adopting expert scoring method, the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Last, the risk assessment system established in this paper is used in the safety risk assessment of xiaoshawan Yellow River Bridge, and puts forward the corresponding measures.Research shows that safety risk factors of the cable-stayed bridge exist in each period of construction and operation, specific corresponding measures should be put forward in the principles of putting prevention first and combining prevention with control in managing, adjusting measures to the local conditions, managing integratively, and also combining specific engineering practices.This paper also has a certain reference value to other types of risk assessment.
