As an important part of highway , with the increase of traffic, under the action of tire and the nature factors (such as temperature,humidity and weathering)the roughness,texture depth,vertical roughness and lateral roughness of the pavement in tunnel will decay seriously; if we don't implement preventive maintenance on this pavement, the disease of this pavement in tunnel will increase quickly, and then reduce the life of the pavement in tunnel. Because of the clearance restrictions, the overlay in tunnel can not use the usually method, we usually adopt micro-surfacing technology in tunnel pavement.In 21 century micro-surfacing has been widely used in maintenance technology of asphalt pavement in China. However, there is higher traffic noise on micro-surfacing than on ordinary asphalt pavement, which has aroused strong reflection in society. For the relatively closed environment of tunnel cave, especially in the long tunnel, traffic noise continuous longer time, and disappear difficulty. Therefore, the noise usually larger in tunnel. This issue is directed against the problem of higher traffic noise on micro-surfacing, we adopt the method of adding rubber particles in micro-surfacing mixture. This paper has mainly carried out several aspects of research work as following:First of all, from the mechanism and characteristic of tunnel noise, received the difference of noise in tunnel and open road is the composition. The noise in open section is formed by direct sound, however, in tunnel its formed by direct sound and reverberant. The reverberant make a greatest impact on people, if people expose in a high-decibel environment in tunnel for a long time, they will become unresponsive,psychological stress,irritability and likely to cause traffic accident.Secondly, on the basis of ordinary micro-surfacing, through the methods of adding rubber particles in micro-surfacing to change it's mechanical properties, we select MS-3 mixture of ISSA as the grading curve of mixture with rubber particles, and get the optimum asphalt content of mixture with different content of rubber particles through a large number of laboratory tests, prepare for later research.Next, on the basis of getting the mix proportion of low noise micro-surfacing, through tire vibration attenuation test and indoor reciprocating wheel load test to evaluate the vibration attenuation and noise reduction of low noise micro-surfacing. The addition of rubber particles plays a significant role in improving the vibration between micro-surfacing and vehicle, the main principle of noise reduction is absorb the impact from tires, so as to reduce vehicle vibration.Finally, this article comparatively studied the road performance of low noise micro-surfacing, mainly analyzed the abrasion resistance,rut deformation performance,water stability and so on. At the same time, analyzed the effect on the texture depth and friction coefficient of the micro-surfacing by adding rubber particles in the micro-surfacing mixtures.
