Evaluation Of The Current Landscape Along The Chengdu-Jiuzhaigou Railway

As a microcosm of the landscape resource, landscape along the railway is constructed by different landscape types and it reflected the total quality of railway environment. In this paper, first, concept and feature of the railway landscape have been expounded. The railway landscape is divided into two parts, the landscape of railway itself and the landscape along railway. At the same time, the concept of landscape evaluation and the four main Schools have been described. Index system of the railway landscape evaluation has been built, mainly use description inventories. Landscape sensitivity, visual absorption capability and landscape quality have been used to evaluate. Finally, take Chengdu-Jiuzhaigou railway for example, the paper gave a total condition of the surveying region, and summarize the types of the landscape. They are Bushwood landscape, meadows landscape, forest landscape, mountain valley landscape, alpine lakes wetland landscape, rural pastoral landscape, urban landscape, humanistic settlement landscape and road landscape. Landscape sensitivity and Landscape quality of alpine lakes wetland landscape is higher, it seems this type is paid close attention to. But visual absorption capability is week, self recover ability is low, so it should be protected and avoided around. Forest landscape has high landscape sensitivity and landscape quality, visual absorption capability is low. But the distribution area is broad, and can't be totally avoided. Mountain valley landscape should take good protective measures to prevent the destruction of ecological and landscape environment. The constitute of Bushwood and meadows landscape is simple, landscape quality is low, but it's in a special area, it shows different feature and also can be paid attention to. At the same time, its anti-interference ability is well and self recover ability is good. The railway can go through this type of area, and if it is well coordinated with the environment, it would be a special scenery along the Chengdu-Jiuzhaigou railway.Though there are weaknesses in the paper, the study about the railway landscape assessment can bring some references or examples to further study.
