Analysis On Landscape Pattern Of Region Along The Railway Traffic

The construction and development of railway has great impact on the environment along the railways, and unavoidably change the stable landscape pattern, which would definitely result in many ecological and environmental problems on traffic landscapes. The evolvement laws of ecological environment will be directly influenced by such a great change. Therefore, from the view of landscape, the research towards the traffic environment problems of the railway system, is significant in theory and reality.In order to reflect the degree of influence, this paper has put emphasis on analyzing the landscape patterns along the railway based on the theories of landscape ecology. Considering the characteristics of the railway system, two change patterns of natural and cultural landscape are analyzed.For the natural landscape, this paper firstly establishes an index system of landscape pattern, explores the classification system of landscape ecology and specifies the landscape style applied in railway, then calculate and analyze the index of landscape spatial pattern, and assess the natural landscape in detail. For the cultural landscape, the landscape sensitivity and landscape threshold along the railways are thoroughly explored, the synthesis analyzing are applied and the cultural landscape is detailedly assessed for the purpose of presenting the landscape protection districts picture. Based on the landscape analyses, we present some reasonable suggestions on protecting natural and cultural landscapes along railway.With the support of RS and GIS techniques, we take the Qinghai-Tibet railway, a most fragile region, as a case to analyze the landscape patterns by using the above-mentioned theory and research methods.Based on the results of our research, the following conclusions are obtained:Firstly, through the analyses on landscapes along the railway, the characteristics of landscape spatial pattern are discribed, which provide data and references for the selection of railway routes and the protection of railway environment.
