Based on the experiments of 6 steel reinforced concrete slabs with size of 500mm×100mm×2000mm, through the experiment on external pre-stressing RC one-way slabs reinforced with GFRP bars, and nonlinear finite element analysis considered nonlinear limited element of concrete and steel, the effect to the flexural behavior of reinforced concrete one-way slabs strengthened with the quantity or different pre-stress is imitated to study. The main contents are as follows:(1)The influences of external prestressing GFRP bars strengthening on cracking, yield and ultimate load of slabs are studied. It is shown that the cracking load are increased significantly with the external prestressing GFRP bars strengthening; the strengthening effect is better irregularly when GFRP bars quantity is larger, while the prestressing force is the same. With the same quantity of the prestressed GFRP bars strengthened concrete one-way slabs, the effect with the prestressing force is insignificant. As a whole, the yield load of slabs is increased more significantly with the prestressing force.(2)The effect of the strengthening quantity and prestressed force, to the development of cracks and destructional forms of the strengthened concrete one-way slabs, is studied. All one-way slabs strengthened by prestressing GFRP bars under load, the cracks expend more quickly, the width and average headway of the cracks are smaller. The widest crack on the yield load of the slabs is shown that the quantity and prestressing force of the strengthening GFRP bars have much influence on the crack width. Therefore the width of cracks is reduced by controlling the quantity and the strengthening force of the GFRP bars.(3)The finite element model of FRP reinforced concrete slabs is established, taking into account the nonlinear concrete and steel. Through the finite element numerical calculation, the flexural property of one-way slab is studied and is compared with the test value.
