The production mode of high mix and low volume is prevalent in recent years. Production scheduling is very important in enterprise management in this mode, which significantly affects product inventories, production cycle and resource utilization and etc. Classical scheduling theory is mainly intended to traditional production scheduling and it has some limitations from actual scheduling. Since late 20th, various computational intelligence methods have been more and more widely applied and their favorable prospects is emerging which become the dominating methods of the high mix and low volume production mode. Thus, studying on intelligence scheduling methods of high mix and low volume production mode has great important on advancing production efficiency, reducing production cost and increasing enterprise profit.The characteristic of the high mix and low volume production mode is analyzed and the mathematic model of this mode is established, whose adaptability is improved based on the study of key technologies of genetic annealing algorithm. An intelligent scheduling prototype system of the high mix and low volume production is researched and developed based on improved genetic annealing algorithm and it is a useful exploration for the development of the high mix and low volume production scheduling.The main research results as follow:(1) Combined the characteristics of the high mix and low volume production mode, the mathematic model of this mode is established based on the analysis on classical mathematic model and presentation of production scheduling.(2) The implementation and design criteria are analyzed. The classical genetic annealing algorithm is improved aiming at its limitation on actual production scheduling in order to meet the demand of assembly constraint and priority scheduling in actual production.(3) The production scheduling prototype system is designed proceeding from data structure and scheduling algorithm, and the intelligent scheduling prototype system of the high mix and low volume production is researched and developed based on improved genetic annealing algorithm via mixed programming with C++ and C#. The prototype system mainly includes three functional modules:production scheduling module, result output module and statistical analysis module. It's indicated that the prototype system has faster calculating speed, better parameters setting flexibility, strong universality and certain practicality.
