In the foreign country, cemetery is not only a park that was beautiful and quiet, but also a famous resort. It always gives travelers fabulous impressions. However, in our country, "Green hill becomes to white", "Bury deaths in everywhere", "Deaths compete land with lives" and there is a popular saying "If you want to be rich, just to build cemeteries" is a normal phenomenon.According to the situation, how to lessen the controversy of land use in cemetery construction and satisfied the required of society is the stand-point of the article. This article's main research contents are as below:(1) Investigated 6 profit-cemeteries in Changsha, analyzed the problems in cemetery construction, discussed the directions of cemetery development. Firstly, transition disperse space to assemble space. Secondly, transition plane pattern to solid pattern. Thirdly, transition traditional pattern to ecological pattern. Fourthly, transition reality pattern to virtual pattern.Finally transition close pattern to open pattern.(2)According to the problems of Park-cemetery construction in our country, presented the concept of Park-cemetery, methods of classification and content of characteristics. The research shows that park-cemetery is a green open space. It contains many functions in a system, such as leisure, memorize, mouming,landscape, ecology, education and home of the death. The characteristic of Park-cemetery is opening space, combination functions, variety tomb style, warmly atmosphere, natural environment and ecological construction theory.(3)From the view of planning and design, holding the principal and method of Park-cemetery. The research shows that:City integration, space planning, culture permeation and feeling expression is the main influence elements on Park-cemetery planning. According to the design aspect, we can think from conception, detailing and instruments.Through the method that was mentioned above, this article declared the concept of Park-cemetery and classifications, concluded the principal and methods of Park-cemetery, providing much theory for our city development.
