Tailings dam is used for storing the mine tailing from concentrator, which is one of indispensable facilities in the mine production. Its stability not only affect the mine production management and benefits directly, but it have influence to People and their property the lower tailings dam In view of large amounts of water and sand tail in the tailing dam, Seepage flow in dam body greatly affects its stability.Based on actual data for background of tailing dam, according to the complicated soil situation, Section of structure are generalized and two-dimensional geological model are established, Seepage of the primary dam and tailings fill dam are calculated by the finite element method.Under the different working conditions,the line of saturation and the total head, the pressure and so on are obtained. It calculated the side slope stability coefficient of Tailings dam on the basis of the seepage calculation. Meanwhile, we obtaine that rainfall have little influence to seepage field of tailings dam's groundwater by simulation of dam.seepage field under the different condition of rainfall, but the rain is likely to influence the seepage field of quaternary formation.Therefore, it simulated Stress and displacement under condition of rainfall by the coupling of seepage field and stress field,and studied the landslide possibility of quaternary formation.Through the simulation of the debris dam transfusion and the side slope stable, it indicates that two-dimensional simulation analysis is reliable, the simulation can accurately analyze the seepage field of the dam. After the numerical simulation, the idea of three-dimensional modeling combine with monitoring results visualization for building automated monitoring system is proposed, for that, we can do 3D modeling for observation environment,as well as realize spatial distribution of monitoring data and safety analysis and evaluation of dam, with the analysis results can be visualized and used for safety warning.
