In recent years,the number of tailings dam has been increased,and tailings dam safety has become a major issue concerned by the government and mining enterprises in our country.Tailings is man-made debris flow hazards that have a high potential energy and its security is directly related to people's life and property and the ecological environment of downstream and the surrounding areas,once the dam damaged,the damage will be unprecedented.In the accidents of tailings dam damaging of the past,the seepage problem is the main reason leading to damage,the seepage safety in the tailings has a very important position in the overall safety.In this paper,LingNan gold mine tailings dam is the engineering background,and the seepage stability problem is studied.Firstly,The basic classification of tailings dam is introduced briefly.And then,As for the stability of the problem of tailings dam in the coupling state of seepage field and stress field,this paper proposes a experimental technology transparent including observation and real-time monitoring combination,which having tailings dam indoor simulation experiment in a transparent glass frame using the tailings as the experimental material,with the aid of osmometer and total station measuring instrument.This experiment adopts the method of contrast of instrument measurement and observation process features,measuring flow and displacement at the same time.And then this paper establishes the three-dimensional model of the dam to study the seepage stability problem of tailings dam under different conditions by finite element software MIDAS/GTS simulations.At last,this paper takes tailings dam piping damage for an example to establish a scenario building system of tailings dam piping failure,to increase ability of emergency management after the accidents.The studying of this paper is as follows:(1)The change rate of the height of seepage line in the tailing dam in the process of damming is related to the particle size of tail ore and the drainage capacity of initial dam.The particle size is bigger,and the drainage capacity is greater,the change rate of the saturation line is faster.(2)In the process of heaping up dam,the natural sediment of tailings sand and the flow velocity have inevitable influence on the dams which have completed,including the influence of displacement,stress,etc.(3)The seepage stability of tailings dam decrease with the rise of water level,and the dam vertical displacement and horizontal displacement is increasing with the rise of water level.(4)The scenario design system of tailings dam piping devastation can carry out the "stress tests" for the tailings emergency management system,and optimizing strategy,perfecting plan,strengthening preparation.
