Glyphosate is a efficient,broad-spectrum and low-toxicity Herbicide, which had a certain influence to the growth of barnacle and algae. With a certain application prospects in marine antifouling coatings.Firstly, Making chemical modification to glyphosate and improving the synthesis process, then acryloyl glyphosate containing a double bond was synthesized. Secondly, the Copolymerization among cryloyl glyphosate, methyl methacrylate, hydroxyethyl acrylate and butyl acrylate taked place, then glyphosate acrylic resin was prepared, And the antifouling paint samples of the resin were prepared. The results of real sea antifouling experiment showed that glyphosate had a good inhibition to marine fouling organisms and had excellent antifouling paint performance, The main conclusions as follows:1,The experiment results of Glyphosate influence to the growth of barnacle and algaerole showed that the smallest concentration both were200ppm.2,The best conditions of the Preparation of the acryloyl glyphosate was25℃of synthetic temperature and4h of reaction time.3,The Copolymerization among cryloyl glyphosate and methyl methacrylate, hydroxyethyl acrylate and butyl acrylate take place, then glyphosate acrylic resin was prepared, The best conditions:the ratio of hard and soft monomer molar was1:1, the amount of AIBN was3%, the reaction temperature was25℃, the time of monomer dropping was2.5h and the holding time was7h.4,To barnacle, the growth inhibition rate of the glyphosate acrylic resin which had the content of glyphosate monomer10%,15%,20%was29%,41%,58.7%. To algae, the growth inhibition rate of the glyphosate acrylic resin which had the content of glyphosate monomer10%,15%,20%was47.7%,58.5%,68.2%.5,Glyphosate acrylic resin was based material, antifouling paint samples were prepared. The results of real sea antifouling experiment showed that coated surface had no fouling organisms in six months of the growth seasons of organisms, indicating that Glyphosate acrylic resin had a certain anti-fouling performance.
