Supramolecular is a kind of highly complex system formed by two or more compounds through intermolecular non-covalent bond. In a supramolecular system, each component maintains some of its inherent physical and chemical properties, while it also shows several overall functions by the interaction with other components. Artificial coordination-driven self-assembly of functionalized supramolecular metallacycles supramolecular systems have great potential value in the field of molecular recognition, chemosensing, cavity controlled catalysis, biological applications.A kind of containing-cucurbituril molecular hexagon was designed in charpterâ…¡. 4,4'-(naphthalene-2,7-diyl)bis(1-(cyanomethyl)pyridin-1-ium)dibromide combines with Cuc-urbit[n]uril(n=6,7) through H-bonding and ion-(?) dipole to achieve self-assembled molecular hexagon. We discussed the self-assembly between guest compound and CB[6],CB[7], respectively. Unfortunately, the lack of appropriate characterization lead to Molecular hexagon is not observed. In charpterâ…¢, a cucurbituril-containing molecular triangle was reported. The molecular triangle is formed by 4,4'-(naphthalene-1,7-diyl)bis(1-(cyanomethyl)pyridin-1-ium)dibromide and CB[7]. Up to this time, the desired performance aren't achieved, so we need find appropriate methods to characterize target molecular.
