In the research, the OMMT was made by our laboratory. Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC)/organic montmorillonite(OMMT) nanocomposites were prepared by direct compounding emulsion PVC with OMMT. The impact of nanocomposites made by different methods were mainly investigated on the properties, such as mechanical properties, the thermal stability, solvent resistance, acid and alkali resisitance, the capability of anti-immigration of plasticizer, and so on. The best method was selected, the best kind and content of OMMT were confirmed. It would be the basic on application of PVC secure gloves.Soft suspend PVC was prepared by direct compounding. The impact of stabilizer and moulding time on PVC degradation, the impact of DOP and OMMT on the mechanical properties and stabilizer in the thermal stability of soft suspend PVC were studied. The results showed that with the increasing of DOP, the tensile strength and tear strength reduced, the frature length radio increased. While adding three percent OMMT, the tensile strength of soft PVC improved 9.5%, the frature length radio improved 13.2%.Emulsified PVC/DOP/OMMT nanocomposites were prepared by moulding method. The result of TEM showed that the montmorillonite layers were dispersed in PVC matrix, nanocomposites were successfully prepared. Comparising the mechanical properties of nanocomposites prepared by moulding and lying, the best method was selected. The impact of kinds and contents of OMMT on the mechanical properties of nanocomposites was studied. The results showed that while adding 1.5 percent OMMT, the tensile strength improved 11.4%. And the impact on thermal stability was also studied. It provided the base on the study of compounding emulsion PVC with OMMT.Emulsion PVC/OMMT nanocomposites were prepared by lying and dipping method. The result of TEM showed that nanocomposites were successfully prepared. Comparising the two molding methods, the best method of producing PVC secure gloves was dipping. The impact of OMMT on the mechanical properties of nanocomposites was studied. The results showed that while adding 3 percent OMMT, the tensile strength improved 11.3%. Furthermore, the impact of OMMT in solvent resistance, acid and alkali resisitance, and the capability of anti-immigration of plasticizer. The result showed that the solvent resistance, the capability of anti-immigration of plasticizer,the acid and alkali resisitance were improved by adding on OMMT.
