Research On Decorative Design Of Curtains

The popularity of decoration is ignorable in recent years. As one of the most important design elements of interior decoration, curtains could improve the indoo's interior styles and functions, soften the whole environment. This thesis is trying to have a deep understanding and analysis on the characteristics and expression styles that curtain has played in the interior decoration. Combing the principles of form beauty, we proposed the design principles and ways of curtains, and also contest its availability by author's own design samples.We analyzed the decoration characteristics of curtains from five aspects of curtains, there are styles, patterns, color, drawings and materials.From the styles aspects, most of the curtain styles could be classified as new Chinese, new classic European, contemporary simple and rural style. The pattern of curtains is defined varified by its combination of comprensive pattern and some tiny details. Color in the curtains has the characteristics of simple, seasonal, popular, independent and penetration. As for the stamps, there are geometric, flowers, lucky styles in traditional Chinese, and pelosi vortex lines, Acanthus leaf, zhuyi, Morris patterns in European styles, and some cartoons in modern styles. From the organization styles of the pattern, curtains could be divided into single and continuous styles. The structue of the curtains pattern could be divided into four types(i.e. chess board, gradual type, central type and upright type). The flowers could be arranged in single. mixed and full types. The characteristics of curtains could be defined as transparent, soft, weighted, upright.The expression styles of curtains in interior space could be divided into three styles(i.e obey the whole style, enhancement and independent expression). Medium and proportion, the mesoscale rhythm and cadence, transition and echo of the curtain could be the obvious guidance to decorative performance of curtains. Based on the two points mentioned above, we put forward curtain decorative design principle and methods. From the principle of integrity, we proposed a complete set of the design method of form, mainly including theme, the color matching, stamps and supporting materials, which could make the curtain and indoor environment more harmonious; Based on the target of the functional requirements of the space, we presented design method which is available in interior design;Based on meet the emotional needs of the target population, we put forward the design method of the "vary from person to person ". With these principles and methods as a guide for the large-sized apartment, villa design and curtain design curtain curtains design three case design and analysis, to validate its feasibility.
