Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a multi-crystalline compounds. In nature, there are three crystalline forms:rutile (tetragonal system); anatase (tetragonal system); brookite (orthorhombic system). Titanium dioxide is stable and excellent. In industrial production, TiO2 is one of rutile materials with wide application in various fields such as high performance pigment, catalysis, magnetic material, photocatalyst, cosmetics, electronics, metallurgy, ceramics, chemical, etc. It really has a good value in industrial application. In this paper, single-phase nanocrystalline Ti1-x-yAxByO2 has been synthesized by sol-gel method and solvothermal method. TG-DTA, XRD, FT-IR, Raman, SEM, TEM, UV-visible diffusere flectance spectroscopy and Color-Eye 7000A Spectrophotometer were applied to characterize the composition of the precursors and the thermo-performance, particle size, distribution, structure, morphology, IR and Raman absorbance curve micro-structure, UV-Vis absorbance curve and CIELAB parameters measurements, respectively. For the Ti1-x-yAxByO2 pigments prepared by sol-gel method, the effect of the species of the dispersant, pH value, raw material ratio were studied the effect on the structural and component of the precursor, the crystal morphology, the crystallite formation temperature and color performance of Ti1-x-yAxByO2. The results show that Ti1-2.5xNixSb1.5xO2 pigments with bright yellow color and Ti1-2XMnxSxO2 with dark brown color. Crystalline with uniform distribution and about 80 nm can be obtained by calcining the precursor at 1100℃for 1h.Ti1-x-yAxByO2 was prepared by solvothermal method. The impact of reaction temperature, calcination temperature on the performance of the precursor, the crystal morphology, and the absorbtion curve were studied. The material coloration and phase transformation mechanisms were also analysised. For these two methods, the coloring properties of Ti1-x-yAxByO2 pigments were discussed. The calcination temperature of the Ti1-x-yAxByO2 prepared by solvothermal method was lower than the sol-gel method. By sol-gel method we can obtain Ti1-x-yAxByO2 in good color, particle size distribution. Both methods are prepared material in thermal stability. Compared with pure titanium dioxide. The UV absorption properties of Ti1-x-yAxByO2 was significantly red-shifted. We focused on the sol-gel methods, analysisd of its color performance. It can not only maintain the structure unchanged and have the excellent color performance, with a certain degree of economic and practical use.
