Damage effects caused by thermo-baric explosive was analyzed in this paper, and damage mechanisms, criteria and scope of various damage effects were also studied, so as to provide theoretical basis to thermo-baric explosive assessment software system.Second, based on the method of SAFER software, and with the use of TNT equivalent method, thermo-baric explosive assessment software system, that is Blast Injury software was developed in this paper. In this software, several aspects of thermo-baric explosive damages were assessed, which were shock wave, thermal damage, fragmentation, toxic gases destruction, and limited space of thermo-baric explosive. And in this assessment software, we could get damage probability of a certain amount of thermo-baric explosive at each distance. And the comprehensive assessment curves of the damages vs diatance were obtained, that is the probability of damage-contrast distance curves. With the analysis of these curves, we could visually see the major harm on humans caused by thermo-baric explosive, and lung was not the most vulnerable organs. In addition, this paper also used LS-DYNA numerical simulation to analyze 2.5kg TNT equivalent thermo-baric infinite space explosive and 1.17kg semi-infinite space explosive, and compared with the Blast Injury software, the results of theirs overpressure were basically consistent. So, the data results were feasibility. The Blast Injury software was compiled mainly by using the single document based on MFC framework of Visual C++ software. And the MATLAB software was used in this software to analyze numerical calculations. The Blast Injury software was fully account of user-friendly, using design principles easily, and the users could get the results easily.
