Quick-point grinding is more advanced and more efficiency as a method of high and super-high speed grinding, which integrates super abrasive wheel, super-high speed grinding and CNC technology. Its main grinding properties are low grinding forces and temperature and now it is mainly used in grinding shafts.The basic working principle of quick-point grinding is:there are angles between the axis of workpiece and the axis of wheel in two directions, both in the horizontal plane and in the vertical plane. The purpose is making the contact area of the wheel and the workpiece being only a point. And the grinding wheel can be controlled by CNC system to grind the whole complicated cylindrical surface.Quick-point grinding process of grinding the mid-point of the existence of variable angle, the rotary grinding wheel and workpiece surface shape of the point contact theory, the geometry of its grinding, grinding wheel wear characteristics of conventional grinding, such as the way a lot of difference between points the existence of grinding variables affect the angle grinding, and grinding temperature.Quick-point grinding is a basic characteristic of the grinding wheel and workpiece axis is not parallel to the axis, and the two axes are not the same plane, there is a certain space angle. This makes the traditional point of grinding and cylindrical grinding have fundamentally different. This article first start grinding geometry, through its mathematical modeling, derived equivalent diameter grinding wheel, grinding wheel and workpiece contact length, contact area is not cutting edge deformation of the thickness of the surrounding wheel contact width of the points around the wheel depth of cut and tilt angle and deflection angle, and then to study the grinding force and grinding temperature is more in depth research. And draw the corresponding curve of the simulation, and analysis of the factors that affect the obtained theoretical results more satisfactory. Finally, part of the original machine's wheel, transmission parts, grinding wheel and workpiece on the relative positions of the transformation, choose a CBN grinding wheel, and the design of a synchronous rotation, wheel covers, pads adjust to meet the rapid point grinding processing conditions.
