Since its emergence, seamless garment has seized an important place in fashion market and has gained more and more attention by its unique advantages on seamless and elasticity. But with its vigorous development, further needs are put forwards to its trendiness and innovation by customers. In order to satisfy the needs of multi-type, small batch, new product exploitation which can make the response promptly to the unpredictable market demand is needed urgently. Concurrent Product Development Engineer is a concurrent and integrated process under information integration, which assures product design, process design and manufacturing could be succeed at one time by taking the factors of product life associated with manufacturing into consideration in design. So it can reduce the development costs. According to investigation and analysis of seamless garments enterprises development status of new product, some problems are found, such as less attention is paid to product development, organization in many-layers hierarchies, poor communication and serial development process. To solve these problems, with the special needs of once moldings and multi-type, small batch of seamless garments, the paper proposed concurrent product development fitting to seamless garment and researched on the key technology in modeling.Firstly, combining the actual requirement of seamless garments product development, the paper studied organization reconstruction and construct IPT. Constructing principles, choosing team members, and resolving conflicts are also discussed.Secondly, by clarifying activities among seamless garments product development, the paper construct process model fitting to seamless garments product development according to the principle of concurrent and integration, which assures that all factors of product life are considered in product development. The development model is described on view of product, resource, process and organization, and its management and monitoring are stressed. The paper constructs the time-triggered mode for seamless garments product development. By this way, we can know the earliest time for the beginning of every process and cut short the optimized time.Finally, the paper selects the Critical Path Scheduling method of program evaluation to do Schedule and Cost optimizing on the product development model. Take new product development of seamless garments for example, the paper analyses the advantages of concurrent engineering compare to traditional mode and makes an empirical analysis of Schedule and Cost optimizing.The research on application of concurrent engineering in apparel field is few. On the basis of precedent achievements, the paper applies concurrent engineering on seamless garments product development. Combining with the particularity of seamless garments, the paper aims to find one mode which can satisfy and exceed traditional mode of seamless garments development. So this subject is of realistic significance.
