Coal is our main resource at present,it plays an irreplaceable role in the development of the national economy,it has an intimate relationship with the national economy.in order to carry out the development of the economy,we should build new mine and carry out the exploitation of the old mine,thus,we can increase coal productivity and increase the coal-energy's recovery, and this refers to the exploitation of the shaft pillar.In order to exploit the shaft pillar, we must design the guard pillar reasonably, and we need to monitor the deformation of the shaft to make sure that the exploit is safe. This paper is conducted based on the above situation.This paper analyzes the research status of the guard pillar's design and the deformation monitoring of the shaft domestic and abroad, combined with the detail mine project, and designs a detail solution of the exploit of the shaft's guard pillar. From the layout of the working-area, to determine the basic parameters of the coal-layer moving combined with the detail geology mining condition.Based on the probability integral, by means of a new method, derivation the subsidence and horizontal deformation of the shaft,calculate the influence to the shaft caused by each working-area, and then determine the exploit solution of the shaft's guard pillar.Based on the exploit solution,discuss the detail exploit method further, exploit the guard pillar as much as possible and make sure that the real deformation is in range of the available limit.Based on the shaft deformation,put forward a theory about the deformation monitoring and data processing of the shaft.it includes the layout of the deformation monitoring point, the figure's intensity composed by the deformation monitoring point, acquisition and adjustment of the data to achieve the visualization of the shaft's deformation using the language of mat lab.
