Research On The Features Of Body Pressure Distribution On Multi-type Spring Mattresses And Their Personalized Design

This study took a variety of spring mattress as the object, took users of mattress and usingenvironments in our country as experiment condition, analyzed the affection of body form, sexand sleep posture on the comfort of spring mattress with different structure and material byexperiments and optimization design of structure of springs, spring mattress bedding layer andmaterial feature using body pressure distribution measure system. On the base of the conclusion,a new personalized spring mattress was designed considered the body form and sex, which willsupply a theory principles for personalize design of mattress.Conclusion:Ⅰ. Body pressure distribution changed with the structure and material of bedding layer.They must be considered together when evaluating the comfort of human body. When using asingle bedding layer, the most comfortable configure is "waist drum packet spring (2.0606)with30mm latex"; When using double bedding layers, the most comfortable configure is"cylinder packet spring (1.8656) with30mm latex"; When using multiply bedding layers, themost comfortable configure is "cylinder packet spring (1.8656) with30mm latex+30mm wavecut sponge".Ⅱ. Different core layer of spring mattress makes different body pressure distribution. Theform of packet springs, the design parameters and the connecting method of bipyramid spring.The analysis result shows that the most comfortable core layer material is "waist drum packetspring (2.0606)". waist drum packet spring (2.0606) is more comfortable than cylinderpacket spring (2.0606). Cylinder packet spring (1.8656) is more comfortable than cylinderpacket spring (2.0606). Width ways connected bipyramid spring mattress is more comfortablethan lengthways connected bipyramid spring mattress.Ⅲ. Body form also affects the body pressure distribution. The style of mattress has a largeimpact on medium body form people and thin body form people, but for fat body form. Theanalysis shows that waist drum packet spring (2.0606) is good for fat people; the cylinderspring is good for medium people; and the cylinder packet spring (2.0606) is good for thinpeople.Ⅳ. Sex can affects the body pressure distribution index either. Waist drum packet spring(2.0606) is good for the male; while width connected bipyramid spring of75mm diameter isfit for the female.Ⅴ. Sleeping posture can influent pressure distribution indexes. Pressure of side position islarger than back position in a whole, mainly because the body weight was centered on, whichwas in accord to physiological characteristics.
