With the development of urban construction in recent years, a number of toxic, hazardous, flammable, explosive or other dangerous sources are spreading towords the city, showing a significant tendency. The resulting fire, explosions and toxic leaks and other major disasters have occurred frequently, and they seriously jeopardize the safety of the city.Geographic Information System (GIS) is computer application software system, with the function of geographic data acquisition, storage, editing, processing and display. And spatial data analysis is the most important feature of GIS. Geographic information systems, network technology and database technology have become more sophisticated, and they provide us a solution for the problem of safety theory and tools that will increase the efficiency of data processing, safeguard the security and stability of the system, enrich means of safety management, and provide the basis for timely and accurate information has played an active role.Usually there are two problems of equipment management system; First, not able to search internet, many management system underusing are limited device stand-alone, can not give full play to the advantages of the Internet to share resources, causing inconvenience to the remote management, the management has not improved; Second, the lack of aid management system, can not provide managers with the supportment of decision-making prediction. Therefore, the study and development of a network with decision support capabilities of the device management system will have great practical significanceAccording to the safety problems in the monitoring process, firstly the paper introduced the recent situation of China's information management of safe-product, and analysed the situation of security production application in both home and abroad, and made a thorough research about the security problems in the production. Then by means of analysis about the problems in application of GIS technology in safe production supervision, the paper put forward the corresponding program, and according to the requirements of the production safety supervision department in Kunshan City, discussed in details of the design and implementation process of GIS applications in the security production. The paper selected key technologies such as WebGIS to research, analysed GIS data management techniques, discussed the GIS spatial analysis methods, and further discussed the applications of GIS in safety production. Using object-oriented technology and Microsoft's Visual Studio.NET 2008 as development tools, database using Microsoft Sql Server2005, design the GIS prototype system with analysis function, so that the GIS has better graphics and data management function. Finally made a brief summary of the paper, and put forward some views and outlook the development of geographic information technologies in the future.
