As society develops, people are increasingly concerned about the environment. In order to reduce air pollution, people in China have been improving energy structure and increasing the proportion of natural gas in the energy consumption. The new stove of inner-flame combustion, which can be high-efficiency gas stove and improve the power, has been given the growing worldwide interest as a potential option for climate change mitigation. So the main objective of this paper is to understand the thermal characteristics of built-in gas stove,the author applied heat transfer theory, combustion theory to study how to improve the thermal characteristics of this stove.The numerous simulations with FLUENT and pilot scale tests are carried out to research the aerodynamic performance and combustion characteristics of the new stove of inner flame combustion.There are tow kinds of holes in the head of the gas stove, which shapes are square and circular. A lot of numerous simulations with CFD are carried out to find out the data in the mixing chamber. The pressure field is drawn to study the region mixed of the stove.The gas stove burning test includes the way of the air input, thermal strength of the fire hole, the chimney and the height of pot bracket. First through the experiment on air supply of the stove, the author described the characteristics of the air ejector in gas stove and studied the mode of entry of secondary air. Then, through the experiment on thermal strength of the fire hole, the author described the combustion and made the stove safe and reliable. Through the experiment on the chimney and the height of pot bracket, the suitable height of pot bracket could reduce the CO concentration and achieve high efficiency.The research shows when the design of fire hole and the way of air input have great impact on the gas stove, which is useful for the design of the inner-flame gas stove.
