Studying The Ecological Environment Vulnerability Of Xinjiang's HeTian Area

Content: Since 1960's, the global fragile ecosystem area extends obviously, and the degree aggravates as well, as a result caused widespread concern. Since the concept of Ecotone was defined in 1988, ecological fragility having been one of foucal studies in the science of environment and geography and other relative subjects. This thesis studying on HeTian area's ecological vulnerability, trying to state the status of HeTian area to promote the fragile ecosystem area protection, providing scientific evidence for regional sustainable development.The fragile ecosystem area of HeTian, which is located in the southest of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, (77°03′45″—85°16′35″E, 34°11′21″—39°40′43″N), It covers 24.9 million km2 including seven county one city, accounting for 15% of the total area in XinJiang, and 2.6% of nation. Focusing on the pressure on ecosystem area of HeTian, by field studies, data collection, combining quantitative and qualitative methods, it uses a"Pressure-State-Response"(P-S-R) frame model to analyze the ecological vulnerability of HeTian area. In terms of purpose, integrity, dominance, dynamic and relevant principles, establishing a assessment indicator system of ecological vulnerability on HeTian area, these indicators should be divided into four kinds of sub-category: Natural factor indicators, resource environment indicators, economic development indicators and social development indicators, 19 indicators are included. By consulting expert advice, determining evaluation criteria, and identifying the target weight, we established weight vector, then dealing with indicators normally. Finally, assessed the ecological environment vulnerability of HeTian area. The results indicated that the fragile degree of ecological environment in HeTian area is: LuoPu county (0.65)> MinFeng county (0.64) > HeTian county (0.60) > PiShan county (0.55) > HeTian city (0.52) > Yu Tian county ((0.44) > Ce Le county (0.42)> MoYu county (0.35).Mainly environmental frailty of HeTian area was affected on natural conditions and human activities together. This area had drying and windy climate: serious soil salinization and shortage water resources, which time-space distribution is uneven; moreover scarce Forest grassland and serious resource desertification,Together with the human overly agricultural reclamation, herding, firewood wood, land desertification process of the region was accelerated; In addition, the rapid growth of the population and environment damaging also led to a vicious cycle of fragile ecological environment.
