To get the piezoelectric ceramic materials using in high-power piezoelectric ceramic transformer at low sintering temperature with high dielectric coefficient, high mechanical and electrical coupling coefficient Kp, high piezoelectric constant d33, mechanical quality factor Qm and low dielectric loss tanδ, the quaternary piezoelectric ceramics of PSMS-PNW-PZT was investigated from the aspects of preparation technique, composition design and low temperature sintering in this article.The influences of Zr/Ti ratio and sintering temperature on the quaternary piezoelectric ceramics of Pb0.95Sr0.05[(Mn1/3Sb2/3)0.06(Ni2/3W1/3)0.02(ZrxTi1-x)0.92]O3 were investigated. It is shown that excellent properties of the ceramic can be achieved at 1175℃with the Zr/Ti ratio of 50/50 when the calcination temperature is 900℃,which were as follows:ε33T/ε0=2477, d33=359pc/N, Kp=0.57, tanδ=0.8%.For a better comprehensive performance of the materials, the influences of Ni/W ratio and sintering temperatures were investigated. The results show that excellent properties of the ceramic can be achieved at 1150℃with the Ni/W ratio of 1/2, which were as follows:ε33T/ε0=1898, d33=316pc/N, tanδ=0.4%, Qm=2688, Kp=0.54. In order to lower the sintering temperature, LiBiO2 was synthetized as a sintering aid mixed into Pb0.95Sr0.05[(Mn1/3Sb2/3)0.06(Ni1/3W2/3)0.02(Zr0.50Ti0.50)0.92]O3. It is shown that preferable properties of the ceramic can be achieved at 1050℃with 0.3wt.% LiBiO2, which were as follows:ε33T/ε0=1477, d33=201pc/N, tanδ=0.5%,Qm=1102,Kp=0.41.To improve the deteriorative performance of the ceramic with 0.3wt.% LiBiO2 as the doping of LiBiO2, CuO is added. It is shown that better properties of the ceramic can be achieved at 1050℃with 0.2wt.% CuO, which were as follows:ε33T/ε0=1838,d33=273pc/N,tanδ=0.9%,Qm=1993,Kp=0.50.
