Research On Environment Management In Macau By The Concept Of Low Carbon

The emission of greenhouse gas causes global warming, which seriously affects human beings. Concerning about global warming spawned the concept of "low-carbon economy". The development of low-carbon economy and building a global low-carbon city will be the new trend. In this trend, China vigorously promotes environmental protection to make sustainable economic development come true.In recent years, with the development of gaming industry in Macao, the tourism industry of Macao develops rapidly, thus promoting the retail, hotel, catering and entertainment and other related industries to enhance the cultural taste and external image of Macao. However, the rapid development of Macao 's economy not only brought many opportunities, but also brought many challenges. Because destructions to the environment, consumption of natural resources rose increasingly. So Macao faced severe environmental problems. Macao Government played an active role in environmental protection, but at the same time there are also problems such as government support being not in place, loose law enforcement, lack of public participation and so on.As a result, from the beginning of this year, EPA launched the whole city of Macao to develop low carbon. From reducing the exhaust, it makes Macao residents to increase their knowledge of low-carbon and let Macao public advocates, cherish resources and build beautiful homeland.The thesis takes Macao as object, and concludes the concept of low-carbon and research of environment management from home and abroad, as well as concerned basic theories. After summing up environment management from home and abroad under the concept of low-carbon, the thesis analyses status of Macao environment, the development of environment management system, the achievement and problems of Macao environment management. On these basses, the thesis puts forward suggestions from four aspects of layout, legal system, technique and public participation to enhance environment management of Macao, which has certain theoretical and practical meanings.
