In recent years, many big natural disasters have been accrued in china. It is the most important work that supply enough emergency supplies timely and quickly in rescue and relief work. In the emergency supplies, disaster relief equipments played a very important role, such as the advanced mechanical equipments and lifesaving equipments, which can save much people's lives and properties in high efficiency!With background of emergency rescues and disaster relief, the paper has analyzed the factors that affect the reliability of relief equipments, and then aimed at the main influence factor: spare parts. The paper builds a demand model for relief equipment spare parts, designs genetic algorithm, uses numerical examples to validate model. This paper summarizes the literature of emergency logistics and demand of emergency supplies form domestic and foreign scholars and find that the research in demand of relief equipment spare parts is very few. Paper introduces the concept and characteristics of emergency supplies and spare parts .Based on the use character, paper divide the emergency supplies into disposable supplies and reuse supplies. Reuse supplies are divided into repairable supplies and irreversible supplies. Paper builds demand model for relief equipments'spare parts to improve their reliabilities and then designs genetic algorithm for the model of relief equipments'spare parts. We verificatys the model through an example and the result is that this method can improve the reliability of relief equipments effectively and prolong the average use time of relief equipments.
