A steel corporation in Shandong Province produce 1.30-1.4 million tons Coke-plant wastewater a year.The corporation have three disposal facilities to handle Coke-plant wastewater.They are A/O technology, A~2/O technology and Submerged anaerobic -anoxic-aerobic membrane bioreactor.But after handled by three disposal facilities, the CODof pollutant in Coke-plant wastewater can not reach the standard of government. Because of MBR and HSB have the advantage that they can inhance the ability of removal value.In this article we use Submerged anoxic-aerobic membrane bioreactor with High Solution Bacterial to treat Coke-plant wastewater. After that we analyse the Influence factor about removal rates by the given data, optimize technical parameters of the Submerged membrane bio-reactor.The experiment was conducted to find the optimum operating pattern and presentd for different operating patterns, aeration time, influent loading, pH value at laboratory scale.At the second stage we compared the result of installation with common A/O technology which mainly use conventional activated sludge. At last we discuss the problem of membrane—fouling. The result of experiment indicate:Under the actiong of membrane and HSB, removal of pollutants in Submerged bio—reactor is fine and steady. Submerged membrane bio—reactor is tolerance to the impact of influent.The experiment was conducted to find the optimum operating pattern by adjusting different operating patterns,aeration time,influent loading,When the parameters of HRT value is 44h, MLSS value is about 10g/l,IR value is 3,the temperature is 25-30℃,DO value is about 3mg/l. The removal of COD and NH3-N in installation comes up to an ideal condition, the removal rates of COD,NH3-N and TN can reach 94.2%,95.6% and 75.8% respectively.By means of investigating installation,s influence factor about removal rates of Coke-plant wastewater,we find that membrane is useful for removal rates of pollutant. Influenced by membrane,the average removal rates of COD is 8.6%,NH3-N is 1%,TN is 2.55%. DO value is very important for NH3-N and TN,but not forCOD;we need a suitable DO value in order to balance removal rates between NH3-N and TN.IR is very important for TN,but not for NH3-N. the removal rates of pollutants go up as HRT become longer.Synthetically considered the influencing factor,The experiment ascertained the best parameter of the equipment,The best parameters of aeration tank value is 0.3-0.4m3/h, DO value is 2.7~3.0mg/L, DO value of aeration-anoxic portions is 0.5~0.7mg/L,IR value is 2-3.generally speaking,Under the condition that the pollutant in influent of two technologies are similar, and the two technologies are in an ideal condition ,the removal efficiency of the Submerged membrane bio-reactor exceed conventional A/O technology, the removal efficiency of COD can be enhance 13% at least,the SS of influent can be reduce about 97%,The removal efficiency of phenol and NH3-N are similar,but the efficiency of Submerged membrane bio—reactoris is slightly higher than conventional A/O technology. Compared with common A/O technology, Submerged membrane bio—reactor have an advantage in resisting impact load and handling capacity.
