The dissertation's contents were showed as follows: fly ash and cement were used as main material; expanded perlite was used as light material; lime and gypsum were used as activators; water class was used as binder; the dose of organic polymers into the pore was added into new non-burned fly ash ceramics to greatly increased surface area. The optimal preparation condition was studied. The new non-burned fly ash ceramics and the general ceramics were taken as fillers in Biological Aerated Filter (BAF) to treat sanitary waste, the performance of two kinds of media were compared through contrast experiment. The optimal preparation condition of new non-burned fly ash ceramics that was determined by single factor analysis and orthogonal exerpiments is 71% of fly ash, 10% of cement, 7% of expanded perlite, 10% of the activator, 2% of the dose of organic polymer into the pore, additional, adding 35% of the water and 10% of water glass in each 100g raw.The optimal technologcial condition of new non-burned fly ash ceramics is placed 1h; into drying oven in 100 temperature 2h; 10h of steam curing time in the steam sterilizer. Under the condition of fly ash, cement and water glass selected, activators, lightweight material and pore former were used orthogonal experiment. The influence order is: pore former>activators>lightweight material. The new non-burned fly ash ceramics and the general ceramics were taken as fillers in Biological Aerated Filter to treat sanitary waste. The sixth day when the experiment was runned, the performance of two kinds of filters was compared through the contrast experiment. removal efficiency of COD of the two BAF was: 84% (new non-burned fly ash ceramics), 79% (general ceramics); removal efficiency of NH3-N was: 98.4% (new non-burned fly ash ceramics), 87.2% (general ceramics), that explain that the hanging film of two BAF had completed.Physical and chemical properties and SEM photographs were show: surface area is 12.74m~2/g that is 3.10 times of the general ceramics; compressive strength is 3.99Mpa; packing density is 0.69g/cm~3.Through the normal operation of BAF measured results, optimum condition is: 3:1 of gas water ratio, 0.8m~3/(m~2·h) of hydraulic load, 0.75h of Hydraulic retention time. On this condition, The maximum removal rate of COD of two BAF was: 88.5% (new non-burned fly ash ceramics), 82.9% (general ceramics); the maximum removal rate of NH3-N was 97.2% (new non-burned fly ash ceramics), 93.6% (general ceramics). So new non-burned fly ash ceramics is more suitable for microbial growth and reproduction.Through the normal operation of BAF measured results, the removal efficiency of COD of the filter layer in 0-400mm section is most efficient; removal efficiency of NH3-N in the section of 400-800mm is the highest; experiment carried out in the bancwash in the seventh day.
