Nowadays, the tourism industry in China, which is developing rapidly with enlarged scale, has become the pillar of the national economic. However, as an essential part of the tourism industry, souvenirs, with long-term backward status of development, affected the whole economic benefit of tourism in the huge market demand.Toys, as one of the tourist souvenirs, are almost the same with each other. How to revitalize tourism toy souvenirs industry, enrich their substances, put forward the new design concept, develops the new species, which can reflect regional culture characteristics, all of above have become important contents and urgent problems of the current tourism. At the beginning of the thesis are the explanation of concept and classification of tourist souvenirs, research and analysis of tourism culture formation and social background. A market research is conducted to analyse the problems of tourism toy souvenirs, and then, characteristics which tourism toy souvenirs should own is analyzed. Getting an idea is that different type of tourism needs different kind of toys. Toys sold in World Expo 2010 Shanghai China as an example, digging into their design and exploit, as a result, put forward how to innovate the tourism toy souvenirs, summarized element and process of innovative design.At the end of thesis is the research of outstanding examples of tourism toy souvenirs, seeking to make a contribution to its design and innovation, and play a positive role on development of tourism toy souvenirs and tourism industry.
