As the fast development of plastic and mold technology, designing and manufacturing of injection molding needs higher quality, precision, longevity, lower cost and shorter developing period. Education of mold needs a lot of experience, but the laboratory facility commonly is real object, it takes high cost, and hard to upgrade. Real object also needs special field. If learning the construction analysis, assembly laboratory, and motion animation of mold can achieve by software, it will be very convenient for teachers and students.Education laboratory software currently needs to upgrade, especially in mold education. This paper introduces the designing of mold education virtual lab system, with the platform of UG.There are construction studying, assembly studying, and motion animation studying——three parts in this system. Construction studying part provides basic viewing tools, as well as relative knowledge and model parts. Assembly studying part provides right assembly process demo, and freedom assembly. Motion animation studying part provides mold working animation.
