In this Papers, the recovery of vanadium from the argillaceous vanadium ore was studied detailedly in Xichuan of Henan Province.We adopted a comparatively perfect technics, such as roasting the ore with sulfuric acid under low temPerature, leaching withwater, extracting with P204, stripping with sulfuric acid solution 15 percent, and dePositing vanadium with NH4Cl, At this rate, those problems that high content of SiO2 in the ore, agglomeration in calcination, low transformation rate of dissoluble vanadium, can be raveled out. The vanadium recovery rate reached beyond 80% and settled the Problems of environmental Pollution in the recovery technology of vanadium.Experiments focus research on the process of recovering vanadium using single-factor conditional, such as sulfuric acid addition volume, roasting time, roasting temperature, leaching time, leaching temPerature and leaching ratio of liquid to solid. The leaching rate of vanadium are mainly related with sulfuricacid addition volume, roasting temperature, leaehing ratio of liquidto solid.The optimal conditions of roastingand leaching were:roasting temperature:250℃; roastingtime:1 hour. The best extracting technology conditions were:solid-liquid ratio:1: 1.25; leaching temperature:95℃; leaching time:2 hours. After being treated by the best preparation technology and extraction technology inabove, the extracting rate of vanadium can reach up to 85.88%.Leaehing solution using 15%P204+5%TBP+80% kerosene as an extraetion agent, the seven counter current extraetion, extraetion 15 minutes in each grade, O:A=1:1, vanadium extraetion rate could reach more than 98%. Extraet of the O:A=1:1 conditions, the 1.5mol/L H2SO4 solution stripping, each class 15 minutes,vanadium stripping rate of 98 Percent. Stripping oxidation of the sodium chlorate, ammonia regulation pH to 2 around the 95℃for 2h, received more preciPitation red vanadium ammonium, and more vanadium ammonium Perchlorate at 550℃in muffle furnace under roasting 2h, can be obtained in line with the Chinese standards vanadium Pentoxide.
