Exploration Han Left Lapel Costurme Rheology Of Each Dynasty And Its Inspiration

Since time immemorial, food, clothing, housing and transportation have become the important requisites closely related with human life. Thousands of years'material accumulation and spiritual enrichment represented the widespread human culture and social civilization. As one of the carriers for human civilization, costume exhibited the evolvement process of the human colorful clothing culture. As a carrier of culture, different clothing in different times and nations bear different characteristics, while meet human basic needs of protecting themselves, serving human productions, reflecting social status and displaying users'interest orientations. All of the above-mentioned factors are related to the blending of costume and culture.Left lapel, as one of the costume placket fashions since ancient times, carries historical and cultural connotations of our ancient nation, and witnesses the blend of different Chinese national costume and cultures. The development of left lapel impenetrates all dynasties of clothing fashions. Having experienced the blending between costume and culture for many dynasties, left lapel has no longer exclusively been the particular costume form of minority nations; nevertheless, its development and spread display people's understanding of social life with its obvious characteristics such as being sharing, learnable, integrated, symbolic, suitable and transitional. At present, more and more cultural heritage are disappearing unconsciously. Left lapel in the traditional concept of Hans is a representative of the minority culture and abasement; with the fact that people attach importance to Chinese culture in modern times and in the renaissance of Han costume, many people do not acknowledge the truth that left lapel indeed exists in Chinese costume. Therefore, a study on the reasons of the rheology of traditional Han left lapel costume and a research on the current situation of left lapel costume are of great significance.This thesis started from the researches on the left lapel costume in the Folk Garments Biography Museum of Jiangnan University, and developed the research work on the basis of a vast literature review and field research methods. Taking the entity o the Han left lapel costume and the process of how it has been passed down as the focus, this thesis proves the existence of Han left lapel costume with the research on the font of ancient characters in combination with the flux of etiquette ideology in different dynasties. Consequently, conclusion comes up that no matter in ancient times or in modern times, the fact cannot be doubted that left lapel has always been a common costume style in Han costume, which contains Chinese nation's generous, tolerant, plain and optimistic spirits, reflecting the shifts from worshipping left to right in etiquette ideology in different dynasties; more importantly, it verifies the significance to preserve and inherit the left lapel costume in modern times. In the last place, the conclusions above are of directing significance in the renaissance and inheriting of Chinese clothing, providing a powerful proof to study the multi-cultural communications among all Chinese ethnic groups.
