Coal slurry gasification technology is one of the key technologies for coal fuel utilization in the Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC), chemical industry, Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system and zero emission system. The application of coal gasification technology reduces the oil addiction in industry and domestic lives. The widely application of this technology would influence the takeover of energy use. It is becoming more and more important for energy safety of China.This thesis focuses on the control solution of coal slurry pressure gasification. It is the application improvement of the opposed multi-nozzle coal gasifier technology. The major studies include: the description of existing coal gasification technologies, and relevant control equipments and technology. The IA series control system from Foxboro, Shanghai, co. has been employed in order to describe and analysis the characteristics and functions of DCS. The opposed multi-nozzles coal slurry gasification process has been analyzed; products selection and system design in the industrial example (Fenghuang New Energy, Tengzhou, Shandong) have been explained; the detail of control condition has been depicted; the sequence control and cascade control have been characterized; the design and configuration of the gasification process control system have been realized.During the deign of process control solution, several process control technologies have been introduced, several debugging of compensation of voltage stabilization of cascade circuit have been finished as well, thus the system control performance has been, and the working load of operators during their practical work has been reduced. The technical parameters are proven to meet the project requirements and have been employed in other projects.Several control technologies have been evolved in this design of DCS control system of coal pressure gasification in opposed multi-nozzles burner with the consideration of practical process. Thus, the operation of the project now is proven to be smooth and stable.
