The explosives performance, storage performance and thermal stability are closely related to the colloidal stability. The survey of gelling agent of water-gel explosive, development of water-gel explosive, explosive thermal analysis and research of pressure desensitization are summarized in the paper. And then, the sol rheological behavior of gelling agent, storage stability, thermal decomposition characteristics and explosive performance under static pressure have been systematically studied. Thesis work is divided into four parts:1. The paper reviews the apparent viscosity of sol solution under different concentrations of gelling agents, hydration temperature, shear rate and salinity. Date shows that:in the production process of water-gel explosive, the sol solution, before cross-linking, shows the characteristic of non-Newtonian fluid and its concentration have a great impact on apparent viscosity. In different temperature the apparent viscosity of SG polymer solution has little change. On the condition of 20℃/80℃the temperature has little impact on sol solution and the sol solution has good thermal stability. With the increase of shear rate, the apparent viscosity began to increase. When reaching a certain shear rate, the apparent viscosity decreases. The sol concentration of components in water-gel explosive has similar impact on sol rheological behavior.2. Preparing the new formula sample, then test the explosive performance and the detonation velocity in storage period. The results indicate that new coal mine water-gel explosives, adding soluble flame inhibitor and ion-exchange flame inhibitor overrun the level of third coal mining permissible water gel explosive on safety properties against firedamp, reaching more than 450g. In explosive performance, the performance of the new formula has reached the level of second coal mine permissible water-gel explosive by tests of projectile mortar gun, brisance and gap distance. The new formula has a certain stability detonation velocity during the storage, after seven months storage, the detonation velocity of sample three is stable at around 3300m·s-1. and its colloidal has good stability properties.3. To test the thermal decomposition characteristics of third coal mine permissible water-gel explosive, sample two, sample three by The C80 calorimeter. The results show that the apparent activation energy of third coal mine pemiissible water-gel explosive is 134kJ/mol, sample two is 81.09kJ/mol and sample three is 193.83kJ/mol.The apparent activation energy shows the reaction energy barrier. The higher the apparent activation energy, the more difficult to conduct thermal decomposition and the reaction resistance is large. The third coal mine permissible water-gel explosive and sample three are significantly higher than that of sample two, which shows that sample two has poor thermal stability and has disparity in colloidal storage stability.4. The explosive performance of second coal mine permissible water-gel explosive and sample three under the static pressure are tested in this section. Preliminary analysis of data shows that:three-dimensional network of gel agent, whose internal structure will change in the static pressure, which lends to degradation of explosive performance. The change of brisance under pressure is able to quantitatively measure the extent of decline in explosive performance, additionally to guide the calculation of unit consumption of explosives under pressure.
