The frequent overhauling of the lapping tool results from the non-uniformity wearing in lapping process with the lapping tool by bending. In order to solve the problem, the reasonable distribution of abrasives density on lapping tool is designed based on controllability of the solid abrasive density.In consideration of the removal proceeding from the lapping height of the workpiece in the lapping process, the paper has established the mathematical model and gains the distribution of the abrasives density in ideal condition by reasoning. The paper expounds the theory of the bending of lapping tool and the design of the lapping tool as well as detailed description the method of distribution of abrasive density.The paper has analyzed the experiment results and calculated the parabolic profile error. Compared with the experiment results used by the lapping tool of uniformity distribution of abrasives density in the same condition, the paper reaches the conclusion as follows:the tendency of distribution of abrasives density is definite; the non-uniformity of the abrasive wear and abrasive overhaul times can be reduced if it is used according to this design in lapping process.
