With the rapid development and growed demand in modern society, more and more multiple bending sections are used in many cases, such as security door frame, aluminium window frame and framework of special section. In the manufacture of products,we must process multiple bending sections before their applications, such as cutting, punching holes, etc. We usually cut off multiple bending sections of security door frames by electric saws.But its processes have high noise, large waste of material, inefficiently, which badly restrict the production scale. In order to enhance the efficiency and quality, we can accomplish the cutting of multi-bending sections by punching die.In order to achieve the goal of cutting off multi-bending sections of security door frames, this paper design the punching die which can fill the procedure of cutting corner. The paper introduces the overall structure and working mechanism of punching die in detail. According to the result of theoretic calculation, this paper analyse the punching effects of punching tool of level blade, punching tool of oblique edge, punching tool of symmetric single-peak, punching tool of symmetric double-peak, punching tool of symmetric multi-peak. Considering many factors, such as punching force, the deformation of multiple bending sections,the cost and the difficulty in processing cutting edge of punching tool, we select the punching tool of symmetric multi-peak for cutting off multiple bending sections of security door frames, which can decrease the deformation and improve the quality and efficiency in processing multiple bending sections. Then verify the rationality and feasibility of punching process of multi-bending sections by ETA/DynaForm 5.6.This paper chose hydraulic press as the power source of punching die for multiple bending sections,which need reasonable hydraulic transmission system. This paper drew the hydraulic system principle diagram,calculated basic parameters of cylinder, selected appropriate hydraulic components and establish 3D model of punching die in SolidWorks. According to the result of theoretical calculation and numerical simulation analysis, the punching die designed in this paper can solve the problems in cutting off security door frame,satisfy the demand for processing multi-bending sections and effectively improve the efficiency and quality.
