With the rapid development of city's economic and wastewater treatment, urban sewage treatment capacity will continue to increase. More sewage treatment plants will be built and put into use.While at the same time, the sludge problem is showed urgent. The secondary pollution caused by the disposal and directly land application of the sludge without harmless-treated and stabilization was increasingly prominent. At present, the common sludge treatments include land application, landflling, incineration and reclamation. The application of the last three methods were reduced and increasingly prohibited, because of the pressure of environment and economy. Land application of sludge was paied much attention. The agricultural use of the sludge treated by composting has the advantages of economy, simple, without secondary pollution and recycle. Therefore, sludge composting is becoming a hot spot in the field of sludge treatment.Turner is a kind of special equipment of sludge composting, and it is one of the key equipments in sludge treatment process. In this paper, a sludge treatment equipment called lane turner was researched, which can be applied to the large scale of sludge composting, also it fills the blank at this domestic in our country.The kinematic and dynamic model of drum and lifting system was established and simulated in this paper, by using virtual prototyping technology in the actual movement process. The data were recorded and the curves of data were drawed during this simulation, and through the compairation of the result between virtual data and theoretical calculation, the conclusion was drawed that the two results were basicly mached.The condition is complex between the drum and material, then how to create a force field between them is the focus of the research. The running of lane turnner was simulated by use of virtual prototyping technology in the actual working condition. By analising the properties of materials and the interactions between material and the durm, the working condition of turing machine was simulated iin this paper. And it was also pointed out the factor of dynamic influence and multy-facors conception in slugde treatment aera at the first time.The performance of the drum and lifting system under the flexible coupling condition was studied in this paper. By using HYPERMESH and flexible coupling models of the drum and lifting system in ADAMS, the MNF file of flexible body was created. Also the changes of stress of the drum and lifting system by the dynamic situation in an actual project were analized. The data have extremely important reference value for understanding of turning machine dynamic characteristics under different conditions. The basis for improving the performance of lane turner was provided for the future design.Verified by project, an accurate assessment of the overall design was made in this paper. Through the analisys of changes of stress and various driving forces of the drum and lifting system by the dynamic situation in an actual project, the existing unreasonable designs were improved and optimized. Energy consumption and material cost were significantly reduced, also economic efficiency was improved and the development cycle was shortened.
