Synthetic B Thionocarbamate, New Technology Research

Abstract/Summary:
Based on the review of synthesis and application of thionocarbamates collector, new technologies of synthesizing thionocarbamates were studied by esterificating and ammonolysising xanthates, the products were also made flotation test.O-isopropyl-N-ethyl thionocarbamate (Z-200) intergrated with allyl mercaptan were synthesized by using isopropyl xanthate, chloropropylene and ethylamine as rawl materials reacting in water phase. Under the optimum conditions:molar ratio of materials (isopropyl xanthate:chloropropylene:ethylamine)=1.1:1:1.05, amount of water 250ml/mol chloropropylene, esterification temperature 40℃, reaction time 4h, ammonolysis temperature 65℃, reaction time 2h, Z-200 with purity of 96.65% and yield of 92.44% and co-product allyl mercaptan with purity more than 98% and yield of 71% were gained。Z-200 and dodecyl mercaptan complex collector were synthesized by using isopropyl xanthate, bromide dodecane and ethylamine reacting in water phase. When the molar ratio of materials(isopropyl xanthate: bromide dodecane:ethylamine) was 1.1:1:1.05, water volume 250ml/mol bromide dodecane, catalyst tetrabutylammonium hydroxide volume 10ml/mol bromide dodecane, esterification temperature 65℃, reaction time 6h, ammonolysis temperature 70℃, reaction time 2h, the productions have the highest yield of 96.63%.Z-200 and BITCM complex collector are synthesized by using isopropyl xanthate, benzyl chloride, ethylamine and isothiocyanate reacting in water. Using molar ratio of materials(isopropyl xanthate: benzyl chloride:ethylamine)= 1.1:1:1.05:0.95, water volume 250ml/mol benzyl chloride, esterification temperature 75℃, esterification time 4h, ammonolysis temperature 70℃, reaction time 2h, the benzyl mercaptan and Z-200 compound can get yield of 92.00%. Isothioncyanates was added to the mixture, reacting 4h in the room temperature can get the Z-200 and BITCM complex collector.The structures of dithioncarbonates intermediate and Z-200 were characterized by UV and FTIR spectroscopys. These products were used in the flotation tests of Dexing Copper ores. The results indicated that collecting abilities of these collectors are more stronger than the collecting ability of butyl xanthate.
