As one of the three major ecological of the Earth, wetlands not only have a strong deposition of purification and flood control, but also have a significant role on the landscape value. Many well-known wetlands are also famous scenic spot. Besides wetlands contains a lot of water resources, which play an important role in the ecological cycle of the water. In addition, wetlands have rich species, which are quite important natural resources for agriculture and fishery, such as fish, algae.Through the study of investigation of land-use at home and abroad, together with the special situation of the study area, this paper makes its own classification of land-use. Then the paper studies the land-use and wetlands and that of changes.Remote sensing image data is usually used for land-use wetlands investigation. This paper uses one scene QuickBird image and three scene Landsat images. Because of the low spatial resolution TM remote sensing image, this paper uses the process skill of supervised classification, semi-automatic water extraction and post-processing techniques to extract the land-use information of TM image. On the contrary, QuickBird image has High-resolution. So, extract the land-use of the QuickBird image just through digital interpretation.The wetlands information is obtained on the base of land-use information. Therefore, this paper formulates its own land-use classification system, according to the standard of land-use classification and standard of wetland classification and the particular land-use of the study area. Then analyze the land-use changes in the different periods. The main contents of this paper include:1. The paper's background and significance of the paper, analyzing the current domestic and foreign land-use and wetland research achievements.;2. Introduce the image data, which is collected for study of the land-use of northern Xuzhou in the city of Jiaxing, as well as data processing technology, the native land-use change analysis technique and method of specification;3. Describe the results of land-use status survey;4. Analyze the changes of the land-use;5. Describe land-use information query system and design of platform;6. The outcome of the study for the final analysis and put forward some shortcomings of existing in the research.
