Swarms behavior is a kind of very important behavior in the life ofgregarious colony which exists widely in nature. The simple biology individualsexpress the character of the whole intelligence. Nowadays, the research resultson biology-modeling behavior such as swarms and forage have been more andmore applied in the engineering groups. Artificial Physics is a kind of methodwhich is used to estimate the virtual forces effect among the virtual objects andthe object motion which follows Newton's mechanics laws.It was initiallyapplied in the formation problem of swarm robots.This paper makes an analysisof swarms behaviors by using the method of Artificial Physics and explains theinternal decision mechanism from Artificial Physics.In terms of behaviors, the process of swarms behaviors and the swarmsrobots' formation have consistency.Both of them are the groups making up withsimple units and interactions between the units or unit and environment whichexists in the groups.Therefore, in view of Artificial Physics this paper introducesthe universal gravitation into the process of the interactions between the units inthe groups which has swarms behaviors.It puts forward a kind of force functionwhich is approximate to the universal gravitation as the rules of interactionsbetween the units in the process of swarms behaviors.Based on that, it hasproposed a kind of swarms model.This paper proved the stability of the swarmsmodel by using the method of Lyapunov. The relationship between theseparameters and the swarms behaviors has been studied by using computersimulating.Gregarious colony usually swarms to forage food, avoid predators or someother special purpose. That is to say, swarms behaviors is influenced andrestricted by the environment. Individuals get close to food or run away fromenemies in the process of swarming. Based on the proposed swarms model, Thispaper bring in environment effect to Gregarious colony, that makes the modelhas ability of foraging. First of all, the colony's forage behavior and stabilitywere studied in three kinds of environment such as plane, quadratic and Gaussian function. Secondly, This paper proved that the swarms will keeparound the food finally by using the method of Lyapunov. At last, the validity ofthe model has been studied by using computer simulating.
