Yellow River is China's second largest river, in recent years, the lower Yellow River flood situation isgrim, in order to protect the safety of the people's property, the flood control system and flood protectionconstruction in the lower Yellow River need further improving. In order to provide the necessary basicinformation for vegetation recovery and environmental impact evaluation in the flood control project areain the lower Yellow River in the future, this paper conducted a survey and evaluation to vegetation in thelower Yellow River flood control project areas.In this paper, the field plants quadrat survey methods were conducted in the lower Yellow River floodcontrol project areas, by plant quadrat survey and laboratory analysis, this paper aimed to help usunderstand the type of vegetation, composition, characteristics, distribution, type, quantity, distribution,diversity, biomass, net primary productivity in the region of the lower Yellow River flood control projectsareas from the vegetation flora, plant communities, plant community types of life, vegetation successionlawmany aspects respectively.and the overall evaluation to the vegetation status quo in the Flood ControlDistrict and the analysis to the trends and causes of change, the analysis to the impacts of the land using ofproject construction on vegetation in the lower Yellow River were conducted. The conclusions were asfollow:1. In the lower Yellow River flood control project area,159kinds of plants were found, among them,there are ferns,2families and2genera and3species; gymnosperms,1family,1genus and1species; theangiosperms,53families and133genera and155species. according to the vegetation type in Chinavegetation, the vegetation in the lower Yellow River flood control project area can be divided into sixvegetation types and41formations and81associations.2. By analyzing the vegetation of the lower Yellow River flood control project area we know that inthe project area, Poaceae, Asteraceae and legumes are dominated, single cases of the Branch make up60.71%of the total number; single-species family make up57.14%of the total number, and88.24%for asingle species. there are nine types of the geographical distribution of the engineering plant families in theregion, world distribution and pan-tropical distribution are dominant, taking up44.44%of total Division and22.22%respectively,about the number.Genus geographic distribution there are14types, including theNorth Temperate, world distribution and pan-tropical distribution take up26.87%,20.15%and18.66%ofthe total respectively, we can see that the degree of vegetation differentiation is higher.3. By vegetation analysis to the primary productivity of the Flood Control District, the results showthat the level of vegetation productivity in the project is the lower Yellow River flood control project area.4.By analyzing the characteristics of the vegetation of the lower Yellow River flood control projectarea we know that: vegetation succession is rapid, with the obvious vulnerability; artificial vegetation isdominated; plant species are rich,but most of them are widely distributed species, species of rare plants arefewer;the composition of vegetation geography is complex; ancient plants emerge; characteristics oftemperate are apparent, with tropical affinity.5. By analyzing the impacts of flood control projects on the vegetation, we know that the impacts ofthe land using in flood control projects on the plant and agricultural are weak, it does not have a significantimpact on regional biodiversity and rare plants.
