Land, as the important scarce resources for the construction and development of the city, should be utilized reasonably and effectively. Promoting land natural resources optimize configuration, is to ensure the realization of economic and social sustainable development. Standard land price assessment in China is an important part of land management system. As the guidance price of land transactions in the market in city, the benchmark land price is one of the basic means for the government regulation and control of land market, but also is the basic foundation and important lever for accounting for the land value and profit, promoting the intensive use of land. Whether reasonable and with city development objective level photograph suits of the benchmark land price directly affect the land market construction and development.With the socialist market economic theory as a guide, with Marx land rent theory, location theory as the basis, with making full use of the integrated management function for spatial data and attribute data and spatial analysis function (including buffer analysis, overlay analysis) of GIS technology, the "Technical route and method system of urban land grading and evaluation based GIS", which is perfect, scientific, practical, simple and convenient, is explored. The land grading and evaluation of the Weifang Binhai economic development area is as an example for demonstration. The Weifang Binhai economic development area of land grading and evaluation based on GIS can not only demonstrate the urban land grading and evaluation method is feasible, but also have important practical significance on the Weifang Binhai economic development area, and play a positive role in the social and economic development and land resources management of the Weifang Binhai economic development area, and, have an important reference value for the other town land grading and evaluation.
