Farmland grading is an important content of land evaluation, but also an important means to realize from the land quantity management to the quantity and quality of comprehensive management goal. It is one of the most important project in new round of land resources investigation, the majority of provinces have been finished, enable to provide basis for managing farmland lawfully, scientifically, rationally and unity, and establishing scientific land grade and price system. Yunnan province have completed farmland classification work in 2007, and continued carrying out farmland grading and valuation work in 2008, planed to use three years finish this work. Although this work is strictly according to the technical standards and implementation plan to finish, but there are also many problems. For example, as the second land survey activities, Yunnan province secondary survey achievement databaset build core technology platform for the land management, Then the farmland grading results which is based on the first land survey, its applicability and reality deserves suspicion; Secondly, in the farmland grading work, the selection of partial factors index had no scientific quantification, resulting in grading results do not tally with the actual situation, directly affect the price of agricultural assessment and the accuracy of rationality; At present, the farmland grading database has not come with other land use database sharing and applications, etc.This thesis is mainly based on the GIS technology, Using its powerful space analysis function, the maps drawn functions and data processing functions, studies and discusses the problems existing in the farmland grading, initially form a complete set of farmland grading method system, and provide more scientific, reasonable, correct and effective technical ideas to farmland grading work. The article also analyzes the problems in farmland grading and puts forward reasonable solution through an empirical research.The paper puts forward the class factor for quantitative method, to lay the foundation for finishing farmland grading work more scientifically and reasonablly. Through introduct space model for analyzing the connection between class factor layer and target layers, with quickly realize farmland grading index calculation and the level of division, and make grading results more tally with the actual situation. This article supported by GIS, combining the quantitative and qualitative analysis method, and mainly studies the following five aspects of content:Firstly, it analysis the main problems existing in farmland grading.Secondly, it researches and establishes factors index scientific quantitative method system in farmland grading. AHP to establish target layer, element level and factor level, which combining quantitative and qualitative methods analysis them from the natural, economic, location and so on, using GIS to build scientific quantitative system for factor,and provide scientific data for later.Thirdly, it establishes spatial model of farmland grading.The factors are different because of their different types of land, especially highlighted in paddy field and dry. It builds different models in ArcMap for different land types and grading factors, and calculates index and divisions the farmland classification level finally.Fourthly, it researches Qiu Bei County of Yunnan Province in the above theory, and analyzes the problems in Qiu Bei farmland grading and puts forward reasonable solution.Finally, it researches the application of farmland grading results. With the Yunnan Province actual situation and by the impact of the imperfect development of rural land market, land acquisition compensation standards and irrational unified annual output value. Tish article tinks that the results of farmland currently used to unity annual output value standard and the price regularly update and compensate price estimates and so on. As the basical data of farmland grading comes from the second survey data, so they can link up well to achieve "a map manages land".Through the research of five aspects, it forms a complete farmland grading methods system and technical processes initially, which has important practical significance to guide and regulate the timely and accurate updates comprehensive quality and standard land price of land in Yunnan Province.
