Research And Implementation Of The Data Layer Of Provincial Geographic Information Service Platform

Geographic information is an important strategic information resource,which is becoming more and more important for management and decision-making of government, national economy, new industries and improving people's quality of life, etc. Along with the rapid scientization of management decision-making of government and enterprise, and informationization economic and social development, the needs of government departments, enterprises and the public for online network geographic information service is increasing dramatically. Therefore it is a strong and urgent requirement for a platform, called as geographic information service platform of multi-scale, of multi-type resources, comprehensive utilization of geographical information and online services. All data resources are covered by the data layer of geographic information service platform-----the basis of the whole platform.This study took all kinds of platform related data, storage processing, management and ongoing maintenance as the main researching contents, designing and exploiting the databases in platform data layer and matching database management system, to realize the data layer construction of province geographic information public services platform. Firstly, this paper describes the geographic information public services platform concept, framework, task, technical line and other related contents and analyzes the contents in the data layer. Then, it introduces the database design, management of system development, database management and maintenance. According to the national standards of the platform technical design and taking the construction of Jilin province geographic information service platform data layer as researching example , this study designed the Jilin province fundamental geographic information database and the database of public Geo-Spatial framework. Jilin fundamental geographic information database management system and public Geo-Spatial framework database management system has being developed based on this design. The database and matching management system has being applied by the construction of Jilin province geographic information service platform. Management and maintenance of mass data in platform construction is realized effectively, which offers powerful guarantee for the platform operation.
