Research On Intelligent Polarization Measuremen Technology And Its Application

Measurement of light polarization plays an important role in today's optical measuring, being widely applied to areas of manufacture, processing, and scientific research, it is of great significance to measure light polarization properties with high accuracy for practical application and engineering.The paper firstly introduces polarization principle of light and mathematical description method of polarization as well as polarization measurement principle based on the method of liquid crystal variable retarded, and then according to the measurement principle systematically introduces the component of the intelligent polarization measurement system, of which the match of the relevant pre-amplification and A/D transform, serial data transmission between A/D and the host microcontroller and other key technologies are elaborated in the paper.Using Labview software to design the PC facilitates the system's digital signal processing, measurement display and data logging.In the end, the paper shows a specific practical application, applies the polarization measurement system to measurement of film thickness, and designs the virtual software of polarization thickness measurement system.
