The highway influence on ungulate were studied with transect line methods in Maoer Shan area, Tahe area, Hengdaohezi area and Yichun area in Hei Long Jiang Province from January to March and December 2010. In this research 276 line transects in total were investigated. The investigation shows:the ungulate that come near to forest highways are mainly roe deer, and 99% of the total activity trace are theirs. Few activity traces of wild boar and red deer are found. According to the investigation, and analyse the effect that highway on the ungulate types by combining the existing data, the result shows:The abundance of ungulate types around highway are influenced by factors such as the life habits of ungulate, distribution density of ungulate, the density of forest highways and the service time of built forest highways. In an area the highways'effect on the quantity of ungulate are directly related with the highways grade and the distance of line transect to highways. The farther it is, the less effect it has. The test of data t shows:the highways influence on ungulate is directly related to highways'grade and the distance to highway. High grade closed highways have bigger influence on ungulate quantity than secondary high grade highways and low grade highways, and high grade open highways have bigger influence on ungulate than low grade highways. Though secondary high grade highways have little difference with low grade highways in Hengdaohezi area, but the former have obviously bigger influence than latter in the else areas.Researching the obstruction by using the rate of the highway line transect footprint chain meeting rate and the twenty meter line transect footprint chain meeting, the analysis shows:the highways obstruction effect on ungulate has positive correlation with the highways grade, the hinder rate of high grade closed highways is 1, which almost completely obstruct the migration, foraging and gene communication of the ungulate around highways. The hinder rate of high grade open highways are from 0.71 to 0.79, the hinder rate of secondary high grade highways are 0.43 to 0.50, except in Maoershan area where it is bigger and as much as 0.77. The hinder rate of low grade highways are minimum, only 0.25 to 0.31.
