Fair Competitive Environment For China's Express Delivery Industry

The Chinese express market is growing very strongly, helped by the phenomenal growth of China's economy. It will become the fastest growing region in the worldwide express market.Along with the constant development and expansion of the express market, China Post and express mail delivery companies have intensive fight for market share. Two events with greater impact are enumerated here. One is the dispute on the revision of Postal Law, the other is the struggle between China Post and international express giants.In this dissertation, the author analyses the reasons that have led to these two events in deep details and points out that there are two fatal problems ungently awaited to be resolved .So far, there is no powerful organization to administrate the express industry and current postal management system has seriously hampered the development of it.Based on the experience of the developed countries, the author proposes two actions to build an environment for fair competition and promote the healthy development of express industry; they are to set a powerful organization to administrate the express industry and to reform Chinese Post.
